You are not a candidate if you are/have:

  • Below 18 years
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Diabetic/High blood pressure (Consult with your Physician)
  • Undergoing Chemotherapy (Consult with your Physician)
  • Viral infections
  • Fillers/Botox in the treatment area which is less than 4 weeks old.
  • Organ Transplantation
  • Epilepsy (last attack being less than 2 years ago)
  • Autoimmune disorder
  • Eczema, Dermatitis or Psoriasis on the area to be treated
  • Sick with cold or flu like virus
  • Accutane/steroids in the past 6 months
  • Allergic to lidocaine (numbing cream) or nickel (needle) or ink – A patch test can be done at least 24 hours prior to procedure if you are unsure however, it is inconclusive regarding whether there will be an allergic reaction anytime in the future.
  • History of Keloid scarring
  • Transmittable blood diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis, STD. etc.
  • Actively burned or tanned in the treatment area
  • Blemishes, Cold sores, rashes, blisters etc. in or around the treatment area

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • You may experience hypersensitivity in or around your menstrual cycle.
  • DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen etc.) 48 hours before your procedure as they cause excess bleeding and may affect the results.

LIPS:

  • Lips must be moist and smooth to work on. Please ensure your drink plenty of water one week prior to your appointment.
  • The night before your appointment, exfoliate the lips with sugar and coconut oil and remove the dead skin by gently scrubbing them with a toothbrush

Important Note: This procedure may trigger cold sores. We recommend all clients, especially those with a history of cold sores, to take anti-viral medication before and after the treatment for best healed results. **This is not a medical advice, please contact your doctor for more information regarding cold sores and their management.

BROWS:

  • Stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, Glycolic acid, exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment
  • Any brow shaping (threading, waxing or shaving) must be done at least 2 days prior to your appointment.
  • If you tint your brows, do so at least 1 week before your appointment.
